2026 R&R Tenant Recycling Event – Urbandale

June 11 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

What Is This Event?

Electronic Asset Security has partnered with R&R Property Management to bring certified, documented electronics disposal directly to you.

Whether you’re a business retiring IT equipment or an individual clearing out old devices, this event gives you access to Iowa’s only R2v3-certified ITAD provider — at your parking lot, at no cost for most items.

Recycling is straightforward. Data destruction is where it gets serious. If your organization needs to prove that devices were handled correctly — for a compliance audit, an industry regulation, or your own records — we offer documented, certified destruction services on-site and back at our secure facility.

Most electronics are accepted free of charge. Exceptions are listed below.

What Can I Bring?

We accept computers, laptops, servers, monitors, phones, tablets, networking equipment, cables, and most other electronics. Appliances are not accepted.

For a complete accepted-items list, visit our Events Page.

What Happens to My Data?

All data storage devices — hard drives, SSDs, flash drives, and mobile devices — are collected and destroyed in bulk at our secure facility at no charge.

If your organization requires documentation of that destruction, we issue a Certificate of Destruction for $10.00 per device. This is a legal declaration of secure destruction, serialized to each device, suitable for compliance records and audit purposes.

If you need device-level correlation — meaning each storage device tied back to its parent asset tag — contact us before the event to discuss our full audit and shred service.

Is EAS Certified?

Yes, and specifically. Electronic Asset Security is certified to the SERI R2v3 standard — the highest certification in the electronics recycling and IT asset disposition industry, and the only recycling and ITAD certification with an explicit, audited data security requirement built into the standard. We are also certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).

Our facility is secured 24/7, monitored by AI-assisted cameras, and staffed exclusively by background-checked, drug-tested employees. Healthcare systems, financial institutions, and insurance companies in Iowa trust us with their most sensitive equipment. If your industry has data privacy obligations, we understand them.
