From individual users to small, local non-profits or multi-national corporations, ensuring proper IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) processes is crucial for adhering to local, state, and federal environmental regulations, as is caring for our planet’s sustainability. Electronic Asset Security identifies repairable or reusable equipment, and then responsibly recycles the remaining components.
Electronic Asset Security is here to serve organizations of all sizes; and through our knowledge and experience with information security, we also excel in serving industries with specific legal or regulatory needs for proper data disposal, involving recycling, reusing, or safely disposing of e-waste.

Unlike many other industries, lawyers must follow ethical codes and can face legal risks if they don’t. Law firms handle an enormous amount of sensitive client info, so secure data destruction is crucial once a case is settled. Electronic Asset Security offers certified data wiping and physical destruction, as well as IT equipment recycling and environmental compliance to reduce your firm’s carbon footprint.
To protect sensitive information, data centers must prioritize data security when disposing of hardware. Electronic Asset Security specializes in decommissioning and data destruction, ensuring that all data-bearing assets are thoroughly sanitized or destroyed to prevent data leaks. By working with us, data centers can maintain their reputation for data integrity and security while responsibly handling e-waste.
Manufacturing companies upgrade IT equipment to stay competitive. Electronic Asset Security provides solutions for the proper disposal of old equipment while complying with regulations. Sustainable manufacturing and cost savings can result from efficient IT asset management.
In schools and universities, technology is like the backbone, helping with everything from teaching to keeping things organized. But when it comes time to upgrade or get rid of old electronics, it's super important to do it right. That means making sure your data stays safe, you're not harming the environment, and you're not spending more than you have to.
With a combined experience of over 40 years in the IT & electronics recycling field, we have built our company from the ground up with a focus on security, customer service, and environmental responsibility. We are more than an e-waste recycler; we are your trusted partner in data security.
We accept anything that is electronic in nature, except for appliances, hazardous waste (CRTs & batteries are okay), Polychlorinated biphenyls (high voltage electrical equipment), or toxic metals like mercury (fluorescent tubes).
Most equipment is accepted at no cost to you, and for newer equipment, we can return a Fair Market Value payment to your organization.
We take data security very seriously. All incoming equipment is assessed for potential private data and sanitized according to R2v3 & NIST security standards. Not only hard drives or SSDs are a risk. Printers, routers, switches, and other devices you may not think about may contain information that could lead to a data breach. We wipe or destroy it all.
Electronic Asset Security is Iowa’s ONLY R2v3 certified electronics recycler. ALL data-containing devices we accept are cleared of data before leaving our facility, with no exceptions. Additionally, for a small fee, we can provide a personalized certificate of destruction for your records.
All required items are thoroughly inventoried, audited, and tested. Data-containing components are identified and held securely before destruction. Equipment is reused, remanufactured, resold, or broken down into commodities to be responsibly recycled.
