At Electronic Asset Security, we are driven by doing good for our planet and our people. We work hard to keep old tech out of the waste stream, but we also give back in ways that help people directly. Which is why we’re so excited to partner with Best Buddies, a program close to our hearts.
Best Buddies is all about inclusion and connection, creating friendships and opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which helps build confidence, independence, and community along the way. From job coaching to leadership programs to simply creating genuine relationships, Best Buddies changes lives every day; and our founder, Nicole Schwegler, has seen that firsthand.
As a proud parent of a Buddy who has been involved in the program for more than seven years, Nicole has been deeply involved from fundraising for the annual Chef’s Challenge to serving as a parent advocate for her son’s high school chapter. The Schwegler family loves being part of Best Buddies, which makes us at EAS even more proud to be their partner.
Access to technology opens up a world of possibilities: connecting with friends, participating in events, continuing education, applying for jobs, and more. Our Buddies deserve to have that access just as much as anyone else, which is why we’re collecting used electronics like laptops, computers, tablets, and phones to donate to Buddies who need them.
Each donated device gets securely wiped, repaired if needed, and refreshed with a clean operating system so it’s ready for a new home and a new purpose.
Got a working device collecting dust? Let’s give it a new life.
