Electronic Asset Security has partnered with the City of Johnston to benefit its residents with easy electronics recycling! All electronics will be securely recycled by Electronic Asset Security\, Iowa’s ONLY R2v3 certified electronics recycler\, based in Urbandale. \nWhat Can We Bring?\nBasically\, we accept anything electronic that isn’t an appliance. Please see the Events Page for more details on what is or isn’t accepted. \nHow Much Does This Cost?\nGeneral electronics are free to recycle. The only exceptions are CRTs\, TVs\, and some batteries. \n-CRT monitor or TV less than 19” diagonally – $10.00 \n-CRT monitor or TV 20” to 27” diagonally – $15.00 \n-CRT monitor or TV greater than 27” diagonally – $25.00 \n-LCD Television (any size) – $15.00 \n-Plasma Television (any Size) – $25.00 \n-Rear Projection or Console TVs – $35.00 \nIf you require a certificate of destruction (legal proof of destruction)\, we can provide one for $10. However\, a certificate is not generally necessary for home users. You can still rest easy since ALL data-containing devices are securely wiped or crushed before leaving the facility\, regardless of whether you paid for a certificate. \nCash or Credit Card Accepted. \nIs this Secure?\nYes!
