Electronic Asset Security has partnered with the City of Des Moines to accept electronics for recycling at the MEGA SCRUB events to benefit all Des Moines residents. All electronics will be securely recycled by Electronic Asset Security\, Iowa’s ONLY R2v3 certified electronics recycler based in Urbandale. \nWhat Can We Bring?\nBasically\, we accept anything electronic that isn’t an appliance. Please see the Events Page for more details on what is or isn’t accepted by Electronic Asset Security. The city may accept other items that will be outlined on their SCRUB page HERE. \nHow Much Does This Cost?\nDoing the right thing shouldn’t have a cost. That is why Electronic Asset Security and the City of Des Moines have agreed to accept ALL electronics for recycling free of charge during the event! Yes\, that includes TVs\, too! \nIf you require a certificate of destruction (legal proof of destruction)\, we can provide one for $10. However\, a certificate is not generally necessary for home users. You can still rest easy since ALL data-containing devices are securely wiped or crushed before leaving the facility\, regardless of whether you paid for a certificate. \nIs this Secure?\nYes! Electronic Asset Security specializes in secure electronics recycling. Our secure facility is audited and certified to the SERI R2v3 standard\, the gold standard in the electronics recycling industry. Our facility is locked 24/7\, monitored by security cameras with AI person detection\, and all employees are background checked and drug tested. DESCRIPTION:Electronic Asset Security has partnered with the City of Johnston to sponsor an Electronics Recycling Day to benefit Johnston Residents. Come to Johnston City Hall (6221 Merle Hay Rd.) between 10 am and 2 pm on Saturday\, April 20th\, to drop off any unwanted electronics. Most items are accepted free of charge\, with just a few exceptions. \n-CRT monitor or TV less than 19” diagonally – $10.00 \n-CRT monitor or TV 20” to 27” diagonally – $15.00 \n-CRT monitor or TV greater than 27” diagonally – $25.00 \n-LCD Television (any size) – $15.00 \n-All data on any equipment we accept is securely destroyed free of charge\, however\, if you would like a Certificate of Destruction\, there is a $10 fee per device. \n  \nPlease see the Events Page for more details.
